Our Goal
Our goal is to provide the most accurate tools possible used in defining soaring parameters, giving pilots the capability to to select the most optimal location and time to fly. Hopefully, setting the stage for a record breaking flight!
You don't need to be a scientist or meteorologist to use XC Maps. Chances are, you already know how to utilize our soaring forecasts. Most of the map parameters are
simply organized predictions of the basic soaring ingredients that we pilots look for on a daily basis.
Here's How it Works
Our XC Maps are visual layers of basic soaring parameters, wrapped up in an interactice application that can be used with any popular browser over the Internet. The stellar part is that you can use XCskies from anywhere in the world! It's easy. There are only 2 steps to complete.
First, so that we know who you are, simply
create your account. This step will cost you nothing, that means it's free. It will provide us with vital information related to your profile, specifically, in what region of the planet you are located and what your choice of aircraft is. Also, and most importantly, by completing this step you will receive a Login and a Password that you will employ in step two.
Second,
sign up for XC Maps. *You must have created a user account first.
Enter your
Login and your
Password then click Enter. You'll be prompted to verify your account through your e-mail, and once that's complete you're home free. Sign up for a month, the season or a year. With our recurring subscription there are no obligations and you can cancel whenever you'd like. No questions asked.
