If you are having trouble logging into your account, you may need to delete you browser cookies for the xcskies.com domain. This was due to user sessions getting mixed up during our server migration. We did not lose any data, however, you just may have a session id located in a cookie on your local computer that does not match the session id in our database. For some users, this has made logging in impossible. The problem is likely specific to certain versions of browsers--very few people have reported this problem, and all have fixed it by removing their xcskies.com cookies.

Dear XC Skies Member,

Yesterday a catastrophic disk failure upstream of the XC Skies website lead to problems with generating our forecasts. This problem has happened before and so we have made provisions to move our efforts to a new location with new hardware which will eliminate issues of this kind in the future. This has been an ongoing process over the last month and luckily for us, the new site is close enough to go live today, October 10, 2008.

Is is likely that you will see problems and errors over the next day. After that, if you still continue to see problems, PLEASE email us at info@xcskies.com or post messages to our Google Group so we are aware of the issues.

We greatly appreciate the support over this last season and apologize for any inconvenience as a result of the last day's events. We will work diligently to make this premature server transition as smooth as possible.

Sincerely,

Chris Galli & The XC Skies Team
